If you see a stampede of women in pink racing down the street in high-heels, don't worry, it's all for a good cause.
A cause that was very dear to one competitor's heart.
Nancy, stiletto stampede participant, said:"I come to support. My aunt passed away a few years ago from breast cancer, so this is one way of contributing back to hopefully finding a cure and just supporting all those who do have it, who can survive from it."
Women who raced the 100 yard (91 meter) dash, managed not to take any serious stumbles.
And even the men surprised spectators with their support, making their way down the track in some pretty posh pumps.
All the proceeds from Austin's Stiletto Stampede will go to local breast cancer organizations in Texas.
