Oversized plastic paillettes and sock-like suede boots at Miuccia Prada's Milan show
MILAN, ITALY (FEBRUARY 24, 2011) PRADA HANDOUT - Italian trend-setter Miuccia Prada explored a new innocent elegance at her autumn-winter 2011/12 womenswear show in Milan on Thursday (February 24).
The cutting-edge designer created mermaid-like dresses in warm autumn colours with oversized plastic petals for a new modern elegance.
Drop-waist coats above the knee had large buttons and round shoulders in a hint to the 60s look.For the morning, schoolgirl-like dresses with collars like shirts were worn with knee-high socks-like suede boots in warm autumn colours.
Double-breasted coats had large buttons and were accessorised by close-fitting helmets, adding an ironic twist to the classic style.
Some creations came in coloured python and were paired with python bags, adding a luxury glamour to the powdery and soft collection.
Prada's innocent ladies knew how to seduce when some models unveiled a scooped-out back as they moved away on the two-floor catwalk.
