Robbie Williams launches his fashion label 'Farrell' at Berlin's luxury department store KaDeWe.
BERLIN, GERMANY (FEBRUARY 26, 2013) (REUTERS) - Still famous as the in-again/out-again member of chart-topping boy band Take That, British singer Robbie Williams launched his fashion label 'Farrell' at the world famous Berlin KaDeWe luxury department store on Tuesday (February 26). Named after Williams's grandfather Jack Farrell, who Williams says had a major influence on his life, the collection features cardigans, jackets and jumpers among other items.
British honesty, style and integrity are the inspiration behind the clothes line Williams devised himself. In his 'Farrell' collections he combines modern style with old fashioned tailoring. Launched in the UK in 2011, 'Farrell' tries to be true to its namesake, Jack Farrell, who was, according to the label's website, a notable dresser, a Stoke-on-Trent native, who lived a hard life but lived it well.Fashion however is only one of Williams's main pillars- his other passion remains music.
Williams is planning a 26-date European stadium tour kicking off in Dublin on June 14, 2013 and concluding in Stavanger, Norway on August 25.
The 38-year-old enjoyed major success after leaving Take That in 1995, producing a string of hit albums and singles including "Angels" and "Millennium" and signing a contract with EMI in 2002 reportedly worth tens of millions.
Williams recently became a father, and said his daughter would accompany him on tour.
