DEAL, KENT, ENGLAND, UNITED KINGDOM (MAY 08, 2012) (REUTERS) - Florence Colgate has the kind of beauty many women are prepared to pay a lot of money for - a perfectly symmetrical face, with large eyes, full lips and high cheekbones.
18-year-old school girl's face is considered scientifically perfect after winning television competition for 'Britain's Most Natural Beauty'.
Her good looks have earned her the title of 'Britain's Most Natural Beauty' after she sent a photo into a British television show.
"Basically it was just about natural beauty and I had to send in a picture wearing no make-up and from that I got called to say I got through into the top 5 out of 8000 people."
Florence won the competition through a public vote.
Speaking to Reuters Television from her home in the British seaside town of Deal, the teenager said she'd been overwhelmed with the level of interest since winning the competition.
"It's just unbelievable. Honestly, I did not expect to get this far at all." She said.
Florence's face is not only naturally beautiful but is considered near-perfect, according to science.
Researchers who've studied attractiveness say on a perfect face, the distance between pupils is 46 per cent of the width of the face from ear to ear - Florence's is 44 per cent. The distance between the eyes and mouth should be a third of the length of the face - Florence's is 32.8 per cent.
Like supermodel Agnes Deyn, who used to work in a fish and chip, Florence spends two evenings a week working at the 'Middle Street Fish Bar'. She says although she's had a lot of media attention, her new found fame doesn't appear to have enhanced her popularity with the down-to-earth chip shop locals.
"I haven't really noticed. Obviously you still get your regulars who come in every week. I don't know, it's a busy fish and chip shop anyway. It got third out of one of the best fish and chip shops in the 'Times' newspaper."
As part of the competition win, a picture of Florence will soon be on show at 'Superdrug' stores throughout Britain and she says she hopes some offers of modelling work come from there.
"I hope to go to Uni to study business management but obviously if anything does come about with this I might possibly consider taking a year out, because university will still be there, just kind of take every opportunity that happens really."
The 18-year-old says she's a confident and happy person which she believes shines through. She also says she drinks a lot of water and keeps her face clean.
