EL DORADO HILLS, Calif., Oct. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- You can now download an overview of Californiadivorce law, recorded live by a Sacramento area law firm.
The Stockdale Law Firm, Inc., of El Dorado Hills, California, has completed the first in a series of live, web-based programs on divorce topics. "We wanted to find the best way to provide low-cost, family law information to the public in a private setting," explained Myrlys Stockdale, the firm's managing attorney and the presenter of the program. "When people are contemplating divorce, they often have some general questions, but are reluctant to go to a public seminar or make that first call to an attorney," Stockdale continued.
According to Stockdale, another challenge in this economy is lack of funds for an initial consultation which can run as much as a few hundred dollars in some areas. The Stockdale program only costs $25.

"Our program is intended to be a general overview of the law and answer some of the common questions asked in initial consultations. However, very specific questions should be directed toward an attorney," explained Stockdale.
The firm's next program will be "How to File Your Divorce in California", a step-by-step guide to completing all the required forms you need to being your divorce in California. It is expected to be available by the end of next month.
Stockdale has been a family law attorney in the Sacramento area for seven years. She is a collaborative divorce attorney, a family law mediator and also handles litigation. Her firm handles family law matters in the Greater Sacramento area.
