EVO - It's a long way from the catwalk but Vivienne Westwood is still strutting her stuff.

She was joining protesters in West Sussex.

They were demonstrating against fracking -- a way of extracting shale gas they say is damaging the environment.

Designer and protester, Vivienne Westwood:

"We've had no debate about it, we don't know if it will do good or bad, I mean I am sure it is very, very bad. And, the only people who are going to benefit from it is this energy company, who are all associated with the government, it is all in their vested interests, it's like a kind of club, it's really obvious."

Westwood's is one of the most iconic names in fashion.

She started selling clothes in London in the swinging 60s and now has shops in 15 other countries.

But she's also known for her strong political views, campaigning against pesticides which harm bees and supporting Julian Assange at London Fashion Week.
