He said the colours in his collection were all inspired by nature with floral prints on many of his designs.
But the 72-year-old Italian designer said any woman can be the Cavalli lady, and described women as being 'butterflies'.
"Do you know with my printing it's silk, light silk, because for me every girl is a butterfly and they should fly,'' said the designer whose clothes are worn by celebrities around the world.
The collection included floaty separates, with a sexy twist with bra tops and midriffs on show.
Speaking about the Cavalli woman, Roberto Cavalli said any woman can be her and suggested that women dress up and go out wearing his dresses.
"I suggest to you, I suggest to you, I don't know when you will be next summer inSaint Tropez or Sardinia, and you wear this kind of dress, so sexy. In the evening you will go out in the best discotheque with Roberto Cavalli dress, short or long, with special makeup, you know. That is really the complete Cavalli look, that I suggest to you and to you too," said the designer before his Milan Fashion Week show on Thursday (September 19).
The designer, whose collection included accessories made from multilayered acetate glass, said his label hasn't been impacted by the current economic climate, but he is saddened about the status of Italy's fragile economy.
"Absolutely not with my brand. My mind yes, because I'm thinking, especially in Italyabout the people they are looking for jobs, sometimes that does depress me, it doesn't help me to create,'' added the Florence born designer before his show.
According to JustCavalli, next season's spring/summer look focuses on 'feminine silhouettes' and 'structured shapes'.
JustCavalli is the designer's diffusion line of his Roberto Cavalli label.
