Sixth in line to the British throne, Princess Beatrice of York turns twenty five on Thursday.
The eldest daughter of Prince Andrew, Duke of York, and Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, reaches her latest birthday having been knocked back a spot from fifth in line to the British throne to sixth after the recent birth of Prince George of Cambridge.
Beatrice, the fifth grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II was born at Portland Hospital in London, 1988.
It has been reported in the British media that for for her birthday a high profile party has been planned where guests have been asked to bring trainers along for outdoor party games followed by a big dinner.
The Princess was educated at primary levels in Upton House School near Windsor and later she attended the Coworth Park School. She then went onto St. George's School in Ascot. Early in her education, the Princess was diagnosed with dyslexia.
Both Princess Beatrice and her sister Princess Eugenie have accompanied their mother to various charity events in the United Kingdom and abroad, on one occasion appearing on a catwalk for a fashion show.
Beatrice graduated from the University of London with a degree in History. She now has has a full-time job in finance.
