Millionaire hotel heiress Paris Hilton inaugurates her first beach club real estate project.
MANILA, PHILIPPINES (MARCH 13, 2014) (REUTERS) - Millionaire socialite Paris Hilton opened her first real estate project in Manila,Philippines, on Thursday (March 13) as she took a step to following her family's property development bloodline.
The beach club will be one of the main amenities for the six-hectare residential resort being developed by local development firm Century Properties.
At a press conference for the event, Hilton said her first venture into real estate development was a dream come true.
"Ever since I was a little girl I really admired my great grandfather and grandfather for the Hilton Hotel empire that they created, and I always had such incredible mentors, looking up to these men who had done so much in the real estate world, so I always really admire them and wanted to follow in their footsteps, and this is my first step towards it," she said.
Paris, whose fame and notoriety is known to spark interest worldwide, is the great granddaughter of hotel chain tycoon Conrad Hilton.
She also has a growing fashion empire under her name and attributed her success as a businesswoman to hard work.
"I think it's all about really believing in yourself and not listening to others who try to pull you down, and about working hard and having a big heart, and really putting your all into everything, and I feel like when you do good things in life as well, that will come back and give you good karma," she said.
Hilton last visited the Philippines in 2011 to meet with the local developers.
