Italian designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana created a masculine v feminine collection for their 2012 women winter in Milan on Sunday (February 27).

Slim cut tailored jackets were worn with lower-rise calf-length pants in dark intense colours in a revisited tribute to the 80s casual looks.

Some models wore suspenders and men hats with sleeveless vest jackets.

The catwalk was shared with sensual glittering creatures in stretch printed dresses covered with star motifs and musical notes in a contrasting palette of yellow, blue, black, gold and silver.

Body-hugging shapes were mixed with loose chiffon printed dresses.

For the masculine look, shoes were laced up and came in leopard, tiger and paillettes, while feminine shoes had stars and musical notes, printed lace and embroidery.

Crystals and sequins added glam and glitter to the show.
