A Danish couple get married in a cave, 50 metres underground in Italy's Umbria.

Already in the depths of love, this couple is taking their feelings to a whole other level.

The Danish duo decided to get married, deep in an underground cave, in Italy.

Forty-year-old Annette Kristiansen says she met 45-year-old Boskov Saerkjaer a few years ago, on the internet, and that they decided to get married 50 metres below ground in Umbria's impressive caves.

Anette Kristiansen, bride, saying

"I think we decided to marry here because it's so romantic, and quite exotic, and I think it's also because we don't have a cave like this in Denmark so we chose to go down here. And it's also a vacation, so we did the honeymoon at the same time."

The ceremony took place in a naturally-formed vault known as 'Cathedral Hall'.

The bride wore white, with a veil, while the guests wore hard hats and threw rose petals.

Maria Branebjerg, friend, saying

"This bride, her mother was here the year before, and that was why they knew that Umbria is one of the most beautiful places to go. And the people, the food, and also the culture here is very beautiful. So that's why they decided to make their matrimony here in Umbria."

The couple celebrated with champagne, before resurfacing, and driving off into happily married bliss.
